- From the Note 2 home screen, select Settings.
- Once inside the settings application tap Storage.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Factory Data Reset.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and select Erase Everything.
- Finally, confirm that this is what you actually want to do by tapping Yes.
- Your Galaxy Note 2 will now reset.
If that doesn't work, try this:
- Turn the power off. If your Note is frozen or sluggish pull the battery out and reinsert it.
- Hold the Volume Down button.
- Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on.
- You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastboot, Recovery and Clear Storage.
- Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button.
- Press and release the Power button.
- Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for Yes and Volume Down for No.
- Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory state. Everything should then be all good!
